Maryvale Stadium

La Piazza al Forno

It’s about 4 miles from the stadium and worth trying out. The Bianca white pizza, $12, topped with fresh mozzarella, ricotta, basil and garlic, is exceptional. Also superb is the Margherita, $10, made with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Tokyo Express

This place is about 15 minutes east of the stadium, so you can get a quick teriyaki fix. Try the grilled white-meat chicken and veggies with a teriyaki sauce over rice or a combo with California rolls. There’s a generous kids meal with a cookie for dessert.

Presto Pizza & Wings

Presto is right around the corner from the stadium. It’s popular after games because you can get two extra-large cheese pizzas and 40 wings for $35.99. If you don’t want to share, get two slices of pizza with one topping and a drink for $3.99.

Garcia’s Las Avenidas

Order wings, spinach dip, mini chimichangas and quesadillas at the bar at this venerable Mexican restaurant that’s less than 10 minutes away from the stadium? They’ve got domestic and imported beers.
